reindeer

Reindeers are located in the colder regions of the Northern Hemisphere on the three continents of Asia, Europe, and the United States, and are concentrated throughout Northern Europe and the former Soviet Union. From western Norway to the southeast of the Bering Strait, there are reindeer distributions from the former Soviet Union in all parts of Siberia to northern Mongolia. Reindeer has been introduced to South Georgia near the South Pole and Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Iceland and Kegelen. The number of reindeer husbandry in the world is second only to red deer. Compared with the red deer, the reindeer is not confined to keeping in the paddock, but adopts free grazing and free foraging. Pastoralists migrated along with deer all year round, or at least for a period of one year with the deer. Reindeer is mainly raised in the former Soviet Union, the United States (mainly in Alaska), Canada, Norway, Sweden and Finland. China Agricultural Network Editor
