How to process cocoon feed

Silkworm cocoon is a by-product of silk reeling industry. It has a high protein and amino acid content and is a protein feed resource with high feed value. Practice has proved that the protein in silkworm cocoon accounts for 66.85%, and the amino acid content is: lysine 3.03%, tryptophan 0.68%, methionine 1.6%, cystine 3.31%, except arginine, phenylalanine and isoleucine The content of fish meal is lower than that of fish meal, and the others are equivalent to fish meal, and the price of silkworm cocoon is only 60% of fish meal. Silkworm cocoon contains fat 2.14%, carbohydrate 7.8%, ash 2.8%, moisture 6.3%. In the contained fat, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, fur animals raised in this way can increase the plush yield and improve the plush quality. Although silkworm cocoon is a high-protein, high-fat animal feed, but contains crustacean 4% -6%, this material is not easy to digest. In addition, silkworm pupa is susceptible to oxidative deterioration, coupled with amino acid imbalances, lack of vitamins, and to some extent its biological value. Therefore, the use of silkworm cocoons as feed must be processed and properly matched with other protein feeds. The processing method is as follows: 1. Boiling and cleaning method: The silkworm cocoon is dried and sieved first to remove powder and sediment, and then is crushed with a pulverizer. The weight ratio of cocoon and water is then 1:4 and water is added to the pot for 20 minutes. Remove foam and slick oil, put the boiled silkworm cocoon powder into a cloth bag, and knead and rinse it in flowing water (or clean water) until no slick oil or foam is left. Second, the soda liquor treatment method First prepare 2% soda solution for use. The crushed cocoon was added to a ceramic jar, and an appropriate amount of blisters was added. Then pour the alkaline solution into the tank, add a small amount of alum, stir evenly, and stand still for 24 hours. Discard the upper suspension by pouring and leave the sediment in the tank. Add appropriate amount of water and alum, stir, and let stand. Precipitation, when the pH value is 6 and the supernatant liquid is clear, can be considered as the defatted cocoon in the tank. Remove dried or air dried, that is, deodorant odorless silkworm powder. Third, the caustic soda treatment method prepared 1.5% of caustic soda for use. The air-dried or dried cocoon is soaked in 1.5% caustic soda for about 12 hours to degrease, deodorize, and then dry, and then the product is crushed by a pulverizer. Tests have shown that the proportion of silkworm pupae feedstuffs to livestock and poultry should be such that ruminant animals such as cattle and sheep account for approximately 10% to 12% of total feed; chickens, ducks, and geese account for approximately 5% to 7%; pigs account for 15%. Silkworm cocoons feed 5%. Since the price of silkworm cocoon powder feed is lower than that of other animal protein (such as fishmeal), it can significantly reduce the cost of raising and improve the raising efficiency.
