Rizhao green tea storage method

Storage method

The correct and effective storage of sunshine green tea is the most important thing to ensure the sweet taste and fresh flavor of Rizhao green tea.

Storage method

First, carbon storage

The method of operation is basically the same as the lime block preservation method. The material used is only charcoal that is extinguished by combustion. The tea utensils can be replaced by a jar or small tin bucket. The capacity of charcoal bags and green tea tea bags can be increased or decreased depending on the size of the container.

Second, the lime block preservation method

Lime blocks are packed in bags made of white cloth. The green tea is put into a white cotton paper bag and covered with a kraft paper bag. Then the small-mouthed pottery altar is washed and dried, and the white pad is placed underneath. The green tea tea bag is placed in a small-mouthed pottery jar, and the middle is embedded in one or two lime bags. The altar mouth is sealed with several layers of grass and finally compacted with bricks or thick wood plates to reduce the amount of air exchange. Afterwards, the preservation should be checked frequently and the lime should be promptly replaced after the deliquescence.

Third, the refrigeration method

The tea leaves are dried with moisture, with a moisture content of between 3-5% and no more than 6%. Green tea leaves are packed in aluminum-coated composite bags, heat-sealed, and the air in the bags is drawn out with a breathing pump. At the same time nitrogen is flushed, the seals are sealed, placed in a tea box, and then stored in a cryogenic refrigerator.

Storage taboo
Avoid moisture: Rizhao green tea is a loose porous hydrophilic material, so it has a strong moisture absorption and moisture. When the green tea is stored, the relative humidity of 60% is more suitable. When it exceeds 70%, mildew occurs due to moisture absorption, and acidification and deterioration occur.

Avoid high temperature: The best preservation temperature of Rizhao green tea is 0-5°C. When the green tea is preserved, the amino acids, sugars, vitamins and aromatic substances in the tea leaves will be decomposed and destroyed, which will reduce the quality, aroma, and taste.

Avoid sunshine: The sun will promote the oxidation of the pigments and esters of green tea leaves in Rizhao, and can decompose chlorophyll into pheophytin. When green tea is preserved, green tea leaves should be stored in glass containers or transparent plastic bags. After exposure to sunlight, the internal substances of the tea will undergo a chemical reaction and the quality of green tea leaves will be deteriorated. Avoid oxygen: Rizhao green tea leaves in the chlorophyll, aldehydes, esters, vitamin C, etc. easy to combine with the oxygen in the air, the oxidation of green tea leaves green tea leaves soup will become red, darker, so that the nutritional value is greatly reduced. When storing green tea, seal it well and keep it out of contact with air.

Avoid odor: Rizhao green tea leaves contain polymer palm enzyme and dilute compound. This kind of material is very unstable and can absorb odors widely. Therefore, when green tea is preserved, the green tea leaves will absorb odors and cannot be removed if the tea leaves are mixed with odors.
