Generally, the spring sowing period is about 30 days, and the summer sowing period is about 20 days. . Barrier isolation is the use of natural barriers such as villages, houses, and trees.
Fourth, rational dense planting. Use wide and narrow rows of 0.80-0.90 meters and narrow rows of 0.40-0.50 meters for planting. The density of semi-compact hybrids such as Yandan 5 and Suyuyu 1 is 4000-4500 strains per mu, and the density of flat hybrids such as Luquan 1 is 3500-4000 strains per mu. Spring sowing is slightly dilute, summer sowing is slightly dense; fertilizer is a bit dense and lean to slightly dilute.
Fifth, Qiao fertilizer material. Before sowing, 1,000 kg of stubble per acre and 30-40 kg of compound fertilizer were used as base fertilizer; during the seedling stage, jointing stage, and ear stage, topdressing urea was 2-8 kg, 3-5 kg, and 6-10 kg.
Six, pay attention to pest control. Waxy corn is more harmful to corn borer and slime than normal corn and should be controlled. Corn borer and sticky insecticides have better control effect with 2.50% deltamethrin EC or 20% quick killing DF EC 1500-2000 fluid.
Seven, timely harvest. The harvest period has a great influence on the quality of waxy corn. Early harvesting, insufficient dry matter and various nutrients, and low yields; harvesting too late, the grains shrink, the skin becomes hard and thick, and the taste is not good. According to experiments, 25-30 days after pollination is the appropriate harvest period for fresh ear of waxy corn.
