It is best to dig trenches in trenches with low groundwater levels and good water retention. Low temperature in the shade, small changes in temperature, and slow temperature increase in spring, which is conducive to prolonging the shelf life of radish. When radishes are stored in large quantities, they are mostly buried in open, airy fields. The thickness of the stack is preferably 40 to 50 cm. If the thickness of the stack is too thick, the temperature difference between the upper layer and the lower layer is too large, and the upper layer may become frozen and the lower layer may become hot.

The optimum temperature for storing radish in stages is 1~3°C. If it is higher than 5°C, it will germinate easily. If it is less than 0°C, it will be rotted. During storage, the thickness of the cover soil should be increased or decreased according to the weather. The temperature at the early stage of storage is high and the cover soil is thin. With the temperature decreasing, the thickness of the cover soil is increased in time to make the thickness of the cover soil close to the thickness of the frozen soil layer. Covered soil should be wet, especially the soil around the radish must be wet, and water should be properly watered when the soil is dry. After pre-storage and after the spring, pay attention to adjust the temperature, timely treatment of frozen, rotten and sprouted radish.

When storing radish, the key is to create a low-temperature, humidity-friendly environment so that the radish grows and respires without losing water. The greenhouse radish produced by the greenhouse can be stored according to the above method. If the temperature is higher at the time of harvesting, it can be pre-cooled in the shed or outside the shed after harvesting (the temperature should not fall below 0°C to avoid freezing) and then be stored in the ditch. The individual flowers and radishes are small in size and should not be stacked too thick during storage.
