Ginger likes a warm and humid climate, is not cold-resistant, afraid of moisture, and is afraid of direct sunlight. In the central and southeastern parts of China, Laifeng, Tongshan, Yangxin, Echeng, Xianning, and southern provinces are widely cultivated.
Ginger planting three taboos
1, bogey with the flow
Because ginger is not resistant to frost, its harvest period is relatively concentrated. If the growers have less labor and the mantle storage is not large enough, Xiao Bian recommends not to plant large areas blindly. It should be planted in small areas first, and the soil water resources should be familiar with the planting land. Conditions, etc., and accumulate sufficient planting management experience, and then gradually expand production, avoid drifting, blindly follow the wind planting.
2, avoid blind planting, do not pay attention to management
Many growers are blindly following other people's cultivation, and they have not strengthened their management according to local conditions, such as their local climate and soil.
Ginger planting should choose slope land and slightly shaded land. The soil is deep, loose, fertile and well drained sandy soil. Some farmers do not understand the amount of fertilizer needed for ginger. They believe that as long as more fertilizer is applied, it will increase production. This idea is naturally wrong, which not only increases production costs, but also causes soil burden, which is not suitable for plant growth.
3, avoid blindly follow the wind, do not pay attention to early prevention
Many farmers have a chance to grow up when they are planting. They feel that there is no need to fight drugs without pests and diseases. When the pests and diseases appear, they are panicked. They are sick and go to the doctors, and follow others to fight drugs instead of the right medicine. If early prevention, killing pests and diseases in the cradle is both time-saving and labor-saving, and the cost of treatment is low.
Ginger planting technology
Planting time: The sowing time of ginger - from late April to early May.
Soil selection: Ginger prefers fertile loose loam or sandy loam soil. It grows poorly in sticky, low-lying, low-lying areas, and it does not grow well on poorly water-stained land. Ginger has the most need for potassium fertilizer, followed by nitrogen fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer.
Ginger selection: Choose ginger, fat and plump, bright skin color, fresh meat, hard texture, 1-2 strong buds, weight 50-75 grams, disease-free ginger for ginger. The ginger is immersed and disinfected with 50% carbendazim 500 times before sowing. After the ginger is disinfected, it should be dried for 2-3 days. When the surface of the ginger is bright, it can be stacked, covered with straw for heat preservation and germination, and kept moist. The temperature is controlled at 20~25°C, when the ginger bud grows to 1cm. Seeding is available.
Fertilization management: Ginger has a long growing period, and should adopt the principle of applying enough base fertilizer and multiple topdressing. When preparing the land, the acre uses 3,000 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer and 25 kg of potassium fertilizer as the base fertilizer. When the seedling height is about 30 cm and 1-2 branches, chasing 1 time fertilizer, applying 20 kg of urea per mu, can also be used to pour the seedlings with clear manure; before and after the autumn, 50 kg of compound fertilizer and 25 kg of potassium sulfate are applied. About 15 cm from the base of the plant, the ditch is applied and covered with soil; when the underground rhizome is inflated, 10-15 kg of urea and 15-20 kg of potassium sulfate are applied.
Precautions
Ginger is not suitable for continuous cropping. It should be rotated for 3-4 years with rice, cruciferous and legume crops.
Ginger should be selected before the sowing, and the mildew, rotten, and dried ginger should be removed.
Ginger is a plant that is overcast and not resistant to high temperatures and glare, so it should be shaded during summer to promote growth.
Ginger is not resistant to drought and is not resistant to cockroaches. It is advisable to keep the soil moist during the growing season.
Before sowing, the ginger is best soaked with medicinal seeds for germination. The method is to spread the ginger for 1~2 days and then soak it with Bordeaux mixture of 1:1:120 for 10 minutes, then remove the ginger and then layer it with tidal sand. The stacking code is covered with a film, and the thickness is about 30~40 cm, so that the temperature is kept at 20~30 °C, and the germination can be carried out in 8~10 days.
