Uruguayan researchers announced on August 26 that they have developed an artificial skin based on animal and tibia collagen for the treatment of skin burns, ulcers and other clinical treatments.
Researcher Montluo, a scientist at the University of the Republic of Uruguay, said that the artificial skin they developed can be absorbed by the body as the body grows, and helps drugs such as antibiotics and analgesics to penetrate the body from the damaged skin.
According to Munbru, the development of this artificial skin sample is over and is expected to be put into production within two years. They plan to experiment first in cell tissue and then conduct clinical trials.
