For cooling systems, it's best to use soft water such as rainwater, snowmelt, or treated tap water. If well water is used, make sure it's clean. To maintain the cooling system, mix 1% caustic soda and 0.5% kerosene in the water to help prevent scale buildup and keep the system running smoothly.
Finally, keeping the machine itself clean is vital. Farm machinery often operates in dusty, outdoor environments, exposing it to dirt, mud, and moisture. Regular cleaning helps prevent rust and corrosion. If necessary, touch up the paint to protect the metal surfaces and extend the life of the equipment.
