Top spray coating

This process is mainly used for ordinary coatings and for enteric coatings.
During the top spray coating process, the hot air blows up the particles through the air distribution plate at the bottom to maintain a good fluidization state.
The coating liquid is sprayed from the top to the bottom through the nozzle into the fluidized bed in the opposite direction to the movement of the particles. The spray coated granules are dried by upward hot air. The low viscosity atomized droplets ensure uniformity of the film.




Bottom spray coating

This process is particularly suitable for the coating of controlled release formulations.
A small amount of coating is required to form a completely sealed surface film.
The nozzle is mounted in the same direction as the hot air enters the fluidized bed through the air distribution plate. By using a draft tube and a gas flow distribution plate having different inner and outer opening ratios, the particles are sprayed while being accelerated in the draft tube.
The granules continue to move upwards and dry, falling from the outside of the draft tube back to the air distribution plate. The particles are then again moved from the outer guide tube of the draft tube and spray coated. By repeating this cycle, the surface of the particles forms a flat and uniform film, and particles of different particle sizes can be uniformly coated.
