Nutritional Soil Preparation
To prepare the nutrient soil, fermented pig manure was first sifted to remove any large particles. It was then mixed with sieved soil in a 3:1 ratio (soil to fertilizer). For an 80 m² greenhouse shed, this mixture produced approximately 5 m³ of nutrient soil, ensuring rich nutrients for plant growth.Seedbed Preparation
After moving into the greenhouse, two nursery beds were set up. Each bed measured 5 meters in length, 1.5 meters in width, and was elevated 8 centimeters above the ground. A total of seven seedbeds were prepared for the 80 m² greenhouse, providing enough space for planting and growing seedlings efficiently.Seed Treatment
Cucumber seeds were first soaked in water at 60°C to soften the outer layer. The seeds were placed in a clean container, and once the temperature dropped to 25–30°C, they were removed and rinsed under clean water to eliminate the sticky coating. Then, they were soaked again in 30°C water for 4 hours. Afterward, the seeds were wrapped in clean gauze and kept in a warm place during the day, while being moved to the greenhouse for germination at night. The temperature should not exceed 35°C. The seeds were aerated daily, and after three days, they were ready for sowing. Black amberjack seeds required a longer soak of 13 hours, and after removing the slime, they were dried and sown directly without pre-germination.Nursery Care
Before sowing, the seedbeds were watered to ensure the soil was moist. Cucumber seeds were sown on the first bed, spaced as thinly as possible. On the second bed, black squash seeds were planted. After that, a 1 cm layer of soil was added over the cucumber seedbed. The cover soil was then thoroughly soaked with a diluted solution of insecticide (800 times). Mulch was placed on top, and the greenhouse temperature was maintained at 35°C. Three days after sowing, a spray containing Sen Zinc, methyl thiol, and other liquid nutrients was applied. Five days later, when the cucumber seedlings emerged, the temperature was adjusted to 27°C during the day and 14°C at night. The pumpkin seedbed was covered with 2 cm of soil and treated with a 500-times diluted insecticide solution. A plastic film and bamboo arches were used to maintain warmth. Once the seedlings were strong enough, the plastic and arches were removed, and a 400-times diluted methyl isothiocyanate solution was sprayed. Pumpkin seeds were generally sown five days after cucumbers.Grafting Process
Grafting should be done when the cucumber seedlings are about 8–9 cm tall, and the pumpkin seedlings have just developed their first true leaves. Grafting is typically done using the cleft method. One day before grafting, the seedlings were sprayed with a protective solution. During the process, both seedlings were carefully removed from the seedbed. The pumpkin seedling served as the rootstock, and a 25-degree cut was made from the top down through the cotyledon. The cut was smooth, and the grafting clip was securely fastened. The pumpkin seedling was positioned outside the clip to avoid damage.Post-Grafting Management
The grafted seedlings were planted in the seedbed at intervals of 10 × 10 cm. Water was gently poured along the sides of the seedlings, avoiding direct contact with the soil. The soil temperature was maintained around 27°C during the day and no lower than 14°C at night. After transplanting, straw was used to shade the plants, and light intensity was adjusted within the greenhouse. Every six days, a mixture of chlorothalonil, dexamethasone, and thiophanate-methyl was sprayed at a dilution of 400–500 times. Ten to fifteen days after grafting, the cucumber seedlings were transplanted, and six days after cutting the roots, they were fully established. Throughout this period, close attention was paid to the seedlings, and straws were used to regulate light and temperature inside the greenhouse.Transplanting
The best time to transplant the grafted seedlings is when they have 3–4 true leaves. The planting layout should be 27 cm between plants, 40 cm between rows, and 80 cm between ridges. The ridge height should be between 20–25 cm. When planting, make sure the first true leaf faces the sun. After planting, mulch was applied, and water was carefully poured to help the seedlings settle. For the first five days after planting, the temperature inside the greenhouse should not exceed 35°C.Adult TPE love dolls can be very beneficial when it comes to becoming a pro in the bedroom.
