First, Seedbed Preparation and Finishing
Selecting a suitable seedbed is the first crucial step in rice cultivation. It's recommended to choose new plots with high elevation, good drainage, rich and slightly acidic soil, and avoid areas where vegetables have been grown for 2-3 years. The soil should be well-fertilized with organic matter. Before sowing, plow the field 2-3 times, ideally 20-30 days prior. In addition to farmyard manure, it's common to apply 40-50 kg of phosphate fertilizer and 15-20 kg of potassium per acre. A few days before planting, dig ditches with a width of about 1.2 meters and a height of 10 cm. Ensure the surface is smooth and fine, and maintain proper drainage around the bed. Sieve the soil and mix it with a disinfectant or growth regulator. For example, you can use 2.5 kg of a general-purpose agent per bag (covering 12.5 kg) or mix 1.5 kg of a specific agent with 18.5 kg of sifted soil, then spread this mixture evenly over 20 square meters of the bed. Mix thoroughly, scratch the surface, and water the bed before sowing. After sowing, cover the seeds lightly with soil without using any strong agents.Second, Sowing Date
The ideal time to sow mid-season rice is during mid-to-late April. Temperature control is essential: before the seedlings emerge, keep the temperature below 35°C. During the one-leaf stage, ensure the temperature doesn’t exceed 25°C. Between the one-leaf and two-leaf stages, aim for around 20°C. If temperatures rise above these levels, ventilate by lifting the plastic film to cool down. By the second-leaf stage, the seedlings start growing actively. On sunny days, remove the cover and take off the plastic sheet 3-5 days before transplanting. Watering and fertilizing: avoid watering until the two-leaf stage, keeping only the leaf surfaces moist. When necessary, combine watering with nutrient application. At the two-leaf stage, apply 6-7.5 grams of urea per square meter. Pest control: during the second-leaf stage, spray 1 kg of anti-dry fungus or 1000 g of a fungicide to prevent sheath blight. For weak or long-lasting varieties, apply 150-200 ppm of paclobutrazol at the one-leaf stage.Third, Transplanting Period
Mid-season rice should be transplanted early to maximize growth potential. Timing is critical to ensure healthy seedlings and strong root development before the growing season fully begins.Fourth, Fertilization
Fertilization should begin with a base application, followed by timely topdressing. A typical base fertilizer ratio is 6-7:3-4. Apply panicle and grain fertilizers as needed. Water management is also important: after planting, maintain shallow water levels during the tillering, booting, and flowering stages, while keeping the soil moist otherwise. When the number of stems approaches the desired panicle count, allow the field to dry slightly until the soil is firm enough to walk on without sinking, then re-water and let it dry again before proceeding. Weed and pest control: perform weeding or herbicide application 1-2 times in the early growth stages. In the middle and later stages, focus on controlling pests like rice thrips, aphids, and leaf folders, as well as diseases such as sheath blight and leaf blight.Folding Power Wheel Chair,Auto Wheelchair Foldable Electric,Wheelchair Foldable Electric,Automatic Folding Power Wheel Chair
